It seems that Facebook has been neglected lately. Indeed, Facebook is the benchmark for social networks, the oldest, used by everyone. For some time now, it seems that young people have turned away from it. Why that ? Facebook has evolved at the same pace as its users. Young people are almost born with it. The problem is that Facebook does not seem to have renovated itself, it has lost its innovation. The fact that it is as good for young people as it is for older people seems to hurt it. Indeed, the new generation seems embarrassed by this aspect, at the idea of having to share intimate content with their families, neighbors, longtime friends. All the knowledge accumulated over the course of an existence. Generation Z seems to be moving towards a more selective network, being sure of having no parents nearby. The new networks are Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and even Twitter. Platforms with specific concepts, more restricted with a younger target. Adolescents feel more free to share their lives, to laugh about divisive subjects and to show another side. Facebook deemed not intimate enough still clings by setting up stories like these neighbors but it does not seem to take. Of course, Facebook is still practical for staying connected to the events of the month and for communicating on Messenger, but we don't drag on there anymore, considered too old, too cheesy. Will Facebook survive a decade?
